Hair and Skin Diseases
The skin is the interface between the person, others and the environment. It is not only a barrier but it also works as a connection and sensor between the interior and exterior of our bodies. Homeostasis, or balance, of our body, environment and patterns of social relation are fundamental for the health of the skin.
In our appointments, the skin and its attachments are observed and studied in a broader context of general health and not just as an event in itself. Therefore, it is critical for skin health to investigate the endocrine, digestive, autoimmune and nervous systems, as well as nutrition, daily use of cosmetics, exposure to chemicals and other factors. This detailed observation is further complemented by clinical analysis and nutritional assessment.
The integration of this information will help us do the diagnosis. We then discuss with the client the therapeutic plan and habits that need to be changed to restore skin health.
